The Gum Flappers are baaaaack

If you listen to the flapping gums on the Networks, you would think that perhaps only Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi support the stimulus bill. However, many governors, even Republican governors like Charlie Crist the once maybe Republican VP nominee, support the bill. Even my governor, Jodi Rell has come out in favor. Those in the trenches of day to day governing realize how dire the economy is and what effect it is having on the general public. Those in Bubble Land (the Inside the Beltway crowd, which includes the Washington press corps) think it is all strategy/politics/scoring point all the time. I was glad the Barck reminded everyone that the Republican idea (can't say ideas , can I) of taxcutstaxcutstaxcuts coupled with governmentbadgovernmentbadgovernmentbad as an over riding philosophy has been tried and proved to be a dismal failure.
